Recovering
Eno too had been inflicted with many injuries. She had fractured cheekbones, left wrist, and nose. Scaringly, the woman also received a deep cut in her tongue. However, her injuries were not as serious as that of Mikey so she was given the discharge sometime before Mikey. She flew back to her home in Korea.
Sister Rushed
Naturally, Mikey’s family got very concerned when the news of his accident hit them. His sister boarded the first flight to see her brother. She stayed with him during his recuperating time and then they put up in a hotel after he got discharged. They stayed over there till the time Mikey returned to his health and had garnered enough strength to fly back his home.
“Wild Ride”
Eno calls her trip to Bali a “wild ride.” So are they going to stop? Well, Eno has a befitting reply to that. “This guy’s trip to Indonesia to meet me spontaneously meant his 55th country! He truly inspires me. I know travel is scary and risky sometimes, but there is no way either of us will stop.” They loved traveling and they were not going to give up on that ever.
Deep Impact
Though they had recovered from physical injuries, the unfortunate incident left a deep impact on their minds. It was a near-death experience for them and they were not going to forget it so easily. Eno opened up, “I was talking with Mike on Wednesday. That was our two-week anniversary [of the crash], and we were both so in shock from it all, like it actually happened.”
“We’re both still shaken, that we would have died without technology. Both of us are thinking there’s a reason we’re both alive,” she added.
Directly Responsible
Mikey said, “Facebook didn’t ‘kind of’ save our lives. It’s directly responsible. I knew if I put out a scary message, [my friends] would help find me. And I was scared. I honestly thought we were going to die.” No need to say, Mikey is extremely thankful to his Facebook friends that are 2,600-plus in numbers. He knew that among all of them there would be at least one person who would take his message seriously and would help. But he had never expected so many to come forward.
A Share Saved Lives
Eno said, “When traveling you meet so many people with interesting and outstanding things to share. This tragic accident has shown us and reminded how many people we have touched along the way.”
