So Kilkus calculated the width of the hole to be 72 feet but he still had no idea about the depth of the gigantic hole yet. And he could not have ventured there swimming to know about it. It would be as good as willingly walking towards one’s doom. The hole had not just got Evan’s attention, there were others who got curious about its appearance and existence.
Creating A Buzz
The sighting of the hole in the middle of the Lake Berryessa obviously gathered the attention of other residents and passers-by. Everyone was intrigued, some were scared by this anomaly in the lake, some thought it to be a sign of something that was going to happen. It awed everyone equally. People drove from other areas to just stand and gapingly stare at this mysterious abyss. Meanwhile, Evan was planning to get at the bottom of it all.
Getting Physically Involved
Obviously, Kilkus trusted his drone and now that he knew that many people had found out about the hole, he was determined to be the person who unraveled its mystery to everyone. But he decided to make a physical inspection of the area albeit from a height, without his drone. He was formulating a plan in his mind step by step and finally, like in the video ahead, the truth surfaced.
One Drone Army
After having taken a look at things himself, Evan charted a course via which he would take his drone. He had absolutely no help or aid or equipment which would help him accomplish this task but only his drone and that did not betray him. It was a simple drone which helped Evan Kilkus uncover the mystery of the giant hole in the middle of the Lake Berryessa.
Changing Directions
Once more Evan flew his drone near the hole, this time his heart was racing faster than previous times. He had an intuition that this time, he would get to know it all. As usual, the drone was unable to capture what was inside the hole, it was all dark. So Evan decided to change the course of his drone and steered it towards the dam wall. That’s when all things started making sense to him.
The Damming Truth
It was nothing like what he could have imagined. But one thing was sure Kilkus managed to solve the mystery of the hole as can be seen in the video ahead.
A closer look at the dam wall revealed to Evan that the hole was man-made. It was a spillway. But how did it come up overnight? What was its purpose and how did not human saw it before? There were too many questions in his minds still.
