As Kilkus decided to move yet closer to the gaping hole to find out more about it a problem came up. His screen began to flash and it turned out that the drone was running low on battery. If he hadn’t hurried he would have lost his cause of discovery, his drone, to the hole. He instantly reversed it and decided to have a look at it when he was completely prepared and he did find the secret of the mysterious hole, as can be seen in the video ahead.
History Of Strange Holes
Even though this was the first ‘out-of-nowhere’ hole that Evan saw, it is not the first one in the world. Such strange occurrences have baffled humanity time and again. Like the Dean’s Blue hole in the Bahamas which is the second deepest in the world or the Devil sinkhole which is a natural bat habitat in the Edwards County. None of these holes is anything like the world’s deepest hole, however.
Dragon Hole
Dragon hole is the world’s deepest hole inside a water body, in the South China Sea. The locals call it the ‘eye’ and there are a lot of myths surrounding the hole as to why it is there and how it came about. Scientific phenomenon tries to explain these Blue holes but it was not the same as the one Evan found in Lake Berryessa. All kinds of thoughts came rushing to Kilkus’ mind but he was far from the reality.
The Possibilities
Being a geek can also be a curse because you even venture to think of the unbelievable possibilities of a rare happening. Kilkus started wondering if the hole in the Lake Berryessa was something more than what appeared to the eye. Maybe an entrance to a secret world? Or a passage to the underground? Was it a door of some sort? If yes, then what. Kilkus was determined to know and know he did, as can be seen in the astonishing video he made.
Pictures By The Drone
Before the drone’s battery died it managed to take some clear shots of the hole. And it will be an understatement to say they were awesome. The hole was bigger than anything Kilkus had ever seen and now he knew what he was dealing with. His curiosity only piqued and before taking any major steps he thought it prudent to do some digging into the history of the place and the lake and he did come across something disturbing.
Digging History
Before taking any steps to look at the hole more closely Evan went over the history of the place. He came across an unpleasant piece of information. Sometime in 1997, Emily Schwalek a 41-year-old swimmer drowned in this lake while swimming. He started to wonder if this hole was the cause of Emily’s demise. But if that was true how was the hole hidden from the human eyes for so long and why did it resurface now, again?
