Having five babies is an extremely rare phenomenon, in fact, there are only 20 documented case of such a birth in the history of mankind. Servat knew that he will be needing a lot of help and financial support to be able to properly take care of these babies. So Paul started working multiple jobs at once to be able to support this new family of his. But will this be enough?
Paul was ready to do anything, but would that be enough?
Not too long after starting his jobs, Paul understood that this alone would not be enough to raise such a huge family. Wanting to give his babies the best beginning in life, this 35-year-old man launched a Facebook page. Through this page, Paul had planned to receive donations from local stores and charities. He needed any help he could get to overcome this endeavor that lied in front of him.
While the community was very generous, same can not be said for everyone
The Support from the community soon started to pour in for this happy couple in form of clothing and furniture. They installed everything they received through this charity in the nursery at their home in Montreal, Canada. As if Servat wasn’t already happy enough with such a good news, he became absolutely ecstatic when 37-year-old Bienvenue asked him to pick out the names for their five babies. “We were so happy,” he said.
People noticed something peculiar
Despite the swelling of Barbara’s belly, to the outsiders, it appeared as if this bump was nowhere near big enough to accommodate 5 fetuses. A close acquaintance of this couple, who themselves just became proud parents to a triplet, was one of the first ones who had become suspicious. Genevieve Laflamme did everything in her power to help these soon to be parents, She gave Barbara tips on how to handle the babies, where to gather financial support from even where to get sponsored diapers from. Soon after this, she noticed holes in Barbara’s story.

Out of all the things that Barbare had told them, one thing that stood out to be completely unbelievable to her was when Barbara told them just a week before the delivery was due that she was, in fact, carrying not four but five babies. Bienvenue was sure that this kind of detail simply could not have been missed in the ultrasound before then. But soon it was time for the babies to be delivered.

While those who only knew them from a distance were growing suspicious, Paul was still blinded by the deception laid down by Barbara. Oblivious to everything he was preparing for the baby’s arrival. He was happily posing for photographs with Barbara’s pregnant belly, even showing it off. But soon it was time for Barbara to deliver her babies and this is when a revelation dropped crushingly upon Paul.
