The couple’s wedding day then all ended in a big blur. Following Zac’s heroic act, it felt as though their wedding had taken place so long ago. Jamel’s family then rushed to show their gratitude towards Zac for his bravery. He was getting praise and thanks from the people on the beach too. This was indeed something no one could have ever imagined would happen, not at a wedding at least. That night, Zac had a realization after getting into bed.

As Zac got into bed that very night, he was exhausted tot he core. But then suddenly, he had a realization. His wife and he had actually consulted their pastor to give them a wedding date recommendation. Their pastor had suggested they get hitched the day before but because of issues with the venue, they had to sift if to the next day. Had they married the day before, Jamel Robinson would not have been saved.
More Than A Coincidence
So many things had taken place that day which all happened by chance on their day. It was the day that the teenager from Alabama almost drowned but even Zac’s quick instinct to grab a wakeboard was something amazing. If he had not had done that, Zac and Jamel would have ended up in peril. His main driving force to stay afloat were his six children – 3 of his and 3 of Cindy’s, both from former relationships.
The Gravity Of It All
As soon as images of his kids popped up on his mind, Zac realized how serious the whole situation was. If anything had gone wrong, a slight wrong move that day could have ended things in a completely different manner. Zac then revealed later that these thoughts haunted him before he could fall asleep and tears streamed down his face. His wife was there to console him and make him feel secure.
Media’s Attention
Zac’s story went viral then soon he was asked to appear on the show, “Good Morning America”. On the show, Jamel Robinson shared his gratitude towards Zac via a video message for saving his life and being his hero. Zac and Cindy were glad to have experienced such an unforgettable incident on their wedding day. The former lifeguard and US coast guard officer went from being a husband to a hero within minutes, a man Cindy always knew he was.
Other Heroes Too
Even though this incident was indeed a shocking and wonderful happening, it was not the only one to have taken place. Moving up north to the country of Canada, a similar situation took place as well. What happened there was something as similar to this situation. On a couple’s special day, their wedding day, an incident broke out that neither of them would soon forget…
