A House

A man residing in Cappadocia was living in his old house with his family for a very long time. He was just a common man living in an ostensibly common house. As the man had been living in this small house since his birth, he endeared the house a lot. He never sensed anything strange about the house regardless of what his neighbors and friends used to say. One of the reasons why he never moved out of the house despite the worsening condition of it was his inability to do so. The man belonged to a lower-middle-class family and due to the lack of money, he was unable to get his house varnished, let alone buying a new house.

Which Way?

Now, at first, he needed to figure out from where can he expand his house. No doubt, expansion requires a lot of care, especially if the house is an old one. But from where was he going to expand his house. Now, the expansion was the need of the hour and there was no way he could put it off to some other time.

Other Side Of The Wall

So, after hours of wondering and pondering he decided to outstretch his house’s basement. As the room was of no use now, he decided to make changes to that. He brought his shovel and other stuff to the basement. Along with the instruments, the man had also brought a torch. As the room was beneath the house, it had no lights. He decided upon breaking one of the walls of the basement to expand the place. But he had no idea what was lying on the other side of the wall.

Trying!

He tried breaking the wall again with his newly bought tool! Yet again, nothing worked.  But this time he was too ready to break that down. He kept thrusting the wall till he made a hole on it. So, one doubt got cleared, the wall was indeed breakable. This little success restored confidence in him. He tried to peep through the hole but it was dark on the other side. Was there nothing on the other side? Well, there was something. It was dark but not empty!

Mystery Land!

The man descended on the mystery land. He brandished the flashlight all across the room and he realized that the room he was standing in was actually a cave. The cave looking room had a slope moving down towards a doorway. When he went out of it, he could not understand what actually was going on. Things got a bit clearer when he stepped through it.
