30 Years Of Perseverance
One thing different that Feldman has been doing from other explorers is that he, with unmatched patience, has been studying the terrain of the Superstition Mountain for over 30 years now; carrying out thorough researches to learning the terrain properly. And his patience did work in his favor. He found something that no other hunter after Dutchman had found.
Eye Of The Tiger
Feldman had shifted to Arizona in 1968 and he worked as a guide for people who came to Arizona to explore the wild. His ulterior motive was obviously to find the mine, just that his approach was different. What he did was, first mark out the places where he was sure that the mines were NOT.
Any Help Welcome
Feldman was on the search of a person who claimed that he had personal contacts with Jacob Waltz, the Dutchman. Not only that, the person claimed that he had found the mines too. The person quite selflessly shared with Feldman whatever the latter wanted to know. With the information he now had, Feldman with his son started on his mission.
Into The Wild
Feldman got ready for a 2-year expedition and narrowed down on a location thanks to the help he had on hand. He found a tunnel that he excavated with some help of the experts and this went on for 9 months. When archaeologists were consulted, they said that the tunnel was probably dug by the Spanish conquistadors. Feldman could picture himself surrounded by gold.
Government Steps In
Once Feldman was certain of the authenticity of the tunnel, he decided it was time to involve the government. He asked to be provided with adequate resources to aid his digging. He is actually the first person to have gotten a legal permit to carry a search in the Superstition Mountains. This has been advantageous for Feldman as this gives him as much time as he wants to carry his search, safely.
Mystery Continues
It is 2018 now and Feldman has not hit any luck yet. But he is alive and he has patience. That gives him confidence that he will soon crack the mysterious location of the Lost Dutchman’s Goldmine. All we can do right now is hope that the man’s plans come to fruition.
