Then she soon found herself getting roles in the plays like Pork, that was written by famous artist Andy Warhol. Cathy Smith is one notorious groupie who was one of the most popular groupies in the ’60s. She was closely associated with the band, The Band. Their song “The Weight” had a few lines where they described Smith. She was also rumored to have dated Canadian folk singer Gordon Lightfoot. His song “Sundown,” was inspired by Cathy Smith and is one of his favorites.

Cynthia Albritton in more popular as Cynthia Plaster Caster. She would often throw herself upon these rock stars in the hopes that they would accept her desperate plea. After making plaster casts of rock stars’ private parts, she became a little more famous. Musician Frank Zappa was very supportive of her art and convinced her to move to Los Angeles where she did a plaster cast for Jimi Hendrix.
