Lucas was furious to see them hurt his best friend and attacked them from behind while they were still struggling to understand what was happening. They tried to fight him back but the dog was so angry that it seemed like he would tear the 3 men apart and eat them raw. Calling For Help
As soon as Todd regained his senses, he decided to call for help. Though the dog had come at the right time, he had suffered certain injuries while trying to fight the attackers. He was also concerned about the well being of the dog. He tried to be calm and thought of the defensive lessons he had learned during his training.
Realization
He realized that he was badly injured as his body started to hurt when the shock began to wear off. He wasted no time and called for help and backup. Lucas had successfully saved him from a fatal attack. Todd was feeling really lucky that he had trained such a brave dog who saved his life when the dog’s life was also at stake. Recovery
Within no time, he saw the ambulance arriving at the scene and the other cops helped him to get inside the ambulance and took the dog too along with them. While the others arrested the attackers to investigate them. This incident had completely taken him by surprise so he was more alert just in case the attackers were planning something fishy again.

Chief Deputy Don Bass released a statement while Todd was still recovering in a hospital and updated the public about the situation. He was grateful that the pooch saved his life and was proud of him. He told the public that Todd had only suffered some bruises and there was a minor cut on his forehead. “We’re not a large agency, and all these guys have families.”
Courageous Deeds
Luckily, the dog too was in good condition and only suffered minor scratches while fighting the armed men. But most of the pain was inflicted on the attackers. If he had not shown courage and smartness then Todd would have been in big trouble. But he handled the situation pretty well and injured them with his bites.
