Unfortunately, she was not in a position to adopt the dog but that does not mean she was not going to help him. As she was a dog lover she knew some of the nice foster homes that would give him all the care, love and protection he required.
Snowflake
Now as they had figure out the solution, they thought of naming the puppy. They named him “snowflake” as he was found in this heavily snowy day. Thereafter, the duo took him to the Detroit Pit Crew Dog Rescue.
Getting Help
She first reached out to the DPCDR who connected her to Theresa Sumpter. That was the place where she had adopted all her dogs from. The woman was well aware that only Theresa can help this dog in such a short span of time.
Dog Lover
Theresa’s love for the dogs was well known. She was an outspoken animal rights activist who always took stand for dogs. The organization is in existence for a long time and has changed the lives of many people. The shelter was the perfect place for Snowflake.
Haven
Even though the shelter was heaven for Snowflake, the teacher did feel a shade of regret on not being able to keep him. She was a single mother and so had all responsibilities of her kid along with the dogs. She was well aware that even though she adopts Snowflake she might not be able to give him enough attention. So, giving him to a shelter was the only way out for her.
Animal Shelter
The Detroit Pit Crew Dog Rescue organization works with the aim of providing shelter and care to the homeless dogs. They rescue many of them. Due to shelter’s popularity among the locals, it remains full. They even vaccinate the dogs before putting them up for adoption.
