Janitor paced towards the door with a broom in his hand. He wondered who was on the other side of the door. As much as he remembered there was no one in the school except for him. Who was doing what at such later hours in the school?
Opening The Door
He opened the door but there was no one. What just happened to him? Was it actually an illusion? He was wondering when he saw a kid running off. The boy should not be more than 13 years. He kept running without looking back. It was strange. He turned back to the room when he saw a card box.
A Kid
The card box was placed on the steps of the school. The kid had clattered down the stairs and was sprinting towards the main door. He was in for a big surprise. The box was brown in color and seemed to be very ordinary. However, there was a page glued to it.
Card box
The card box had a message scrawled on it. It was a big packed card box. Perhaps left by that boy. He wondered if it was a part of boy’s prank. His curiosity had taken the best of him and so he went up to the box despite knowing that it could be storing something dangerous.
Box Wasn’t Empty
He also read the message that did not make any sense until he opened the box. The moment he opened the box, his both eyes widened with wonder. It was something he had not expected at all. The thing simply popped out of the box.
Abandoned Puppy
It was a tiny puppy. This cute and small creature was inside the box and looked scared. Apparently, he had been abandoned. The puppy let out a weak growl. The janitor could not understand what to do. Leaving the dog to fend for himself would be the cruelest thing to do. And then he read the message written on it.
