This Pitbull Becomes An Inspiration For The World When Denied To Give Up

Ariel had been rescued by Beauties and Beasts two years ago because her previous owner was physically abusing her. She has a missing leg because she was mistreated so severely.

“Ariel was found with her leg cut off,” Sewell explained. “She was covered in scars from being used as a bait dog [in dogfighting] and had her mouth closed tight with barbed wire. So when Jonah first met Ariel, I think he understood right away that they had both been through a lot.”

Since Jonah has a very rough time growing up, he was never fond of the other dogs.  However, Ariel helped him become more comfortable and confident with her loving nature.

“Every time one of our other dogs would bring Jonah a toy, he’d bring his head close to his body and hide to protect himself,” Sewell said as she talked about Jonah’s behavior. “He didn’t trust them at first, but Ariel taught him that it was OK to play. She really brought him out of his shell.”

It has been almost one month since he joined his foster family and now Jonah is almost fully recovered. He is currently looking for the perfect forever home after receiving his final vet check.

Till fate decides that day to come, Jonah will be representing Beauties and Beasts rescue at educational events for the Wichita community to educate people about the important job they do that was able to save his life.
