Bart Conner Gymnastics Academy

It has been a very smooth ride for the couple since then. After establishing the Bart Conner Gymnastics Academy with his coach Paul, Bart has been working with his wife Nadia in the establishment which witnesses thousands of young gymnasts getting themselves enrolled. Bart and Nadia travel all around the world endorsing products and working on commercials. Finally, they manage to generate some time for themselves.

An unlikely friendship

It took everybody by surprise when Nadia was seen walking the red carpet alongside Katie Holmes at the TriBeCa Festival. Katie had directed her first film named Eternal princess which was a documentary on the life of Nadia. While giving the interview everybody noticed the good bond that both of them shared with each other.

Eternal Princess

Eternal Princess was not such a huge hit, but it surely taught people about the realities of life and the sacrifices that one has to make in order to taste success. Nadia was now confident that she had nothing to hide from the world and could proudly tell her story. Katie and Nadia both are Eternal Princesses.

Beatings?

Some people started to again stir some controversy after the incident of a girl beaten to death aged 11 by her gymnastics coach in Romania came up in the year 1995. The girl’s name was Adriana Giurca and the reason was the inability to perform routines correctly.False rumors spread that coach Karolyi also used to beat Nadia in her childhood days to make her achieve perfect 10’s, an allegation which both denied completely.

No pictures

There were no photos of Adriana’s autopsy to be found in the investigation by the Western journalists. It was because the Romanian government didn’t want this matter to come up as they had a big role to play in this tragedy. Apparently, it had been pressurizing coach Florin Gheorghe who used to coach Adriana to make the girls achieve perfection at any cost.

Death not surprising

Bela Karolyi in an interview in 1995 said that he was not at all surprised by what had happened. He told that despite the fact that Romania had become a democracy but still there was a need to be done in order to stop incidents like the secret police beating people anytime they want. He knew that it was only the excessive pressure by the government on the coach which led to the girl’s death.
