Enjoys Company
People enjoy working there. The employees love their company. Why should they not be, they all get numerous benefits, internal promotions, and interactive sessions. The way they handled the wine incident tells that they give a very good treatment to their staff members.
Rare Like Wine
It does not happen often that an employer let go of the mistakes of their employee, especially if the mistake is as big as this one. One of the commenters very much appreciated the positive attitude of thet restaurant, ‘As someone who works in hospitality, bless you for being understanding and not flying off the handle at the poor lad/lass.’
Round Of Applause
One of the commenters shared her own experience, ‘This happened to me once at another London establishment, and they did not deal with it well at all – round of applause for treating your staff and customers with decency!!’
Promotion
Well, there is one more wonderful news. Ellen Stott, the assistant manager who accidentally gave away the expensive bottle has been given a promotion. “Ellen started on day one of Edinburgh, taking a waitress role despite having a lot of management experience because she believed in what we do here,” Will Beckett said. He further added, “We quickly promoted her and started preparing her for more senior roles because we believe so much in her.”
Congo!!
People showed their ecstasy to that as well. One Twitter user wrote, “Yeah!!! Congratulations to your new GM and to the smart folks at your place who recognise that everyone has the occasional bad night- it’s the rest of the nights that count!”
Much Respect
Another wrote, “I remember hearing about this, but didn’t realise it was you guys. And you genuinely promoted the dude, to General Manager? Hats off to you! Much respect!’
