Relocating
And even though David was sure that the bee colony would not be able to go on living inside of the walls of this home, he did not wish to kill them all. David knew that there must have been something else that could be done. He was not willing to participate in the widespread bee deaths occurring all over the globe. He needed to find a way to relocate the beehive.
To Remove It
David slowly began to take off the chunks of honeycomb that was lying around the house. It started to appear very trippy when he did this. At a particular point, David went on to explain the entire incident as if “the construction crew in this part of the hive was dropping acid.” This just shows how detailed and mesmerizing the honeycomb was.
The Bees Cooperation
And so although David had in a way, ripped apart the entire home, the bees were quite cooperative. This came as a pleasant surprise for David. And as a matter of fact, the bees even sat on David’s shoulders and some were even resting upon him. This truly helped in relocating the bees from where they were currently living. It was such a wonderful sight to watch.
Their Imprints
And so as soon as David had finally cleared off the mess in the area he was filled with wonder because of the imprint that had been left behind. “Kind of cool when you think about all the times your Mom told you to wipe your feet before coming into the house,” David revealed later to interviewers. He had never experienced such an incident his whole life.
Honey Farms
So finally since David did not want to exterminate the bees, he had to do something about them since the family could not keep them in their house anymore. So David started work and had to deliver the bees over to several honey farms. By doing this, David expects the experts who take care of these honey farms would know how to deal with colony losses since bees are important for the ecosystem!
