Ian Thorpe
Ian Thorpe is a champion swimmer who happens to be allergic to chlorine! He is highly respected by his fellow swimmer and venerated by aspirants. He has 5 Olympic Gold Medal in his name. He could not continue to compete because of the shoulder injury he sustained. Though he was honored with a Doctor of Letters from Macquarie University. Bart Conner
During the 1984 Summer Games, Bart Conner conquered 2 Olympic gold medals in Men’s Gymnastics. Now he owns and operates as a primary manager of the Bart Conner Gymnastics Academy in Norman, Oklahoma. He is living a healthy and blissful life with his better half and fellow Nadia Comăneci, a former Romanian gymnast. Both of them participates in The Special Olympics.
Natalie Coughlin
Natalie Coughlin is a swimmer. She started contesting ever since she was six. She has won 12 NCAA titles from the time she is in school and has five championship U.S National champion conquered. The first time she won a gold medal was in the 100m backstroke and 800m freestyle relay. In 2008 She went on to set a new record for 100m backstroke making her the first women to do so. In 2012 she won another gold medal for the 100m swim. She has a silver too for the 400m freestyle relay. She has discontinued her career as an athlete and is an investor representing a frozen food company.
Paavo Nurmi
Paavo Nurmi also known as “The Flying Finn” has won about 12 medals, nine in gold and three in silver, in a dozen of Olympic Games. He has the record of being an invincible player in 800m for 121 consecutive races, winning him the nickname of “The Flying Finn”. He had a penchant for violin and was an aficionado of classical music. He tied the knot in the 1930s and died when he was 76 in 1973, in Finland.
Usain Bolt
Usain Bolt is a successful athlete and has won 9 gold medals in Rio. He is a top ranked Olympian performer. He had a hard time when he sparked a controversy in 2016 Summer Games for being found in a video with some other woman. People criticized him highly for that. Now, he has retired and settled down in Jamaica.
