The Russian T-54 tank has another backstory that also emerged during all this that also made total sense. It’s true that this tank was used by the Iraqi forces during the reign of Saddam Hussein and survived the Persian Gulf Conflict, so it is possible that this tank could have been sold when the conflict was over. Before the conflict, many tanks were sold to Iraq Army and then they were auctioned off to the highest bidder after the conflict was over. Due to all of this, the tank could have made his home in many countries and the information about its past couldn’t be confirmed. In the end, Nick Mead was the one who brought this tank to his farm.
How Gold Got In The Fuel Tank
If you have noticed the tank that Nick and Todd had, you might ask how did the bricks of gold end up in the tank which did not have the required opening that could easily fit the gold. During an interview, Nick Mead told the reporters,“They must have cut a hole in the fuel tank and rammed it full of gold bars”. To Mead gold doesn’t matter anymore, “Even if I don’t get any of the gold back I will still have my beautiful tank.” He told the reporters. This shows how important tanks are to him. Give Tank A Break, Who Is Nick Mead?
Nick Mead is the owner of Tanks-a-lot, where he has 150 tanks in total. He is the guy who bought the Russian T-54 tank from Joe Hewes through eBay. During the maintenance period of the tank, he found out about the hidden ammunition and the stack of 5 gold bricks. He remained true towards his passion and called the police for the further investigation about the tank.
And Who’s Todd Chamberlain?
Todd Chamberlain is the maintenance guy who works with the Tanks-a-lot crew and just like Nick he also has a special interest in tanks and military gears. For the maintenance work of the tank, Nick called him for the repairing work that was required in the tank and later he discovered the ammunition and gold during the process. All the discovery was so special that they decided to film everything that you can watch in the video that you will find in the end of this article.

After releasing the tape of their discovery to the public they got mixed reactions. One guy who watched the video said,“Delete the video and buy a car.” There were many who did not agree with their decision and felt that the actually had a chance to be rich. Unaware of the past of the tank they had no idea of how and when these gold bars came into existence. All this time they were inside the gas tank due to which they got dirty and after Todd and his team polished they were all glitter in sight.
