Amiss

As they say, when one is in a habit of seeing someone daily, a day without seeing them makes you feel that something is incomplete. Something similar happened that day when the cop did not find his dear friend on the street to wave at him. Though it wasn’t any compulsion that they would greet each other but just an off from the daily routine made the cop uncomfortable.

Suspicious

The cop could not understand what was wrong? He was astonished to not find Klynn that day. For an instant, he was taken aback. His favorite part of the day was missing today. Just a mere waving ritual taking such an abrupt break upsets the cop. He knew that something must have happened that’s why the little girl was absent on the sight. The cop somehow could smell the suspicion and trusts his instinct to make his next move.

Is Anyone There

The cop was sure that something was fishy about the situation. Though he was making guesses that Klynn might have been busy, his heart did not agree to it. He wanted to make sure that she and her brothers were fine and there was nothing to worry about. The cop stepped out of his car and stepped towards Klynn’s house. He knocked on the door, but to his worry, there was no response. This time he knocked even louder, but there was still no answer.  The cop with a jerk opened the door and rushed in. He wasn’t prepared for the sight which greeted him…

Lying Unconscious

The cop could not believe what he saw. As he looked down towards his feet, he saw that Klynn was lying down on the floor. He could not make a guess as to what happened to her, because her eyes were wide open and she looked miserable. She seems to be extremely unwell, all one could see was skin hanging on her lean bones. What must have happened to this little girl? The cop hurriedly checked for her breath.

Emergency

Klynn was breathing. Fortunately, she was still alive. When Klynn noticed the cop, her eyes widened in shock. She was in immediate need of help. She couldn’t believe that someone had found her and was there to help her! Because she was almost on the verge of losing her consciousness, the cop immediately picked her up in his arms and rushed her to the hospital.

Diagnosis

The cop stayed with Klynn all the time while she was being under internal care unit’s guidance. He made sure that he was available all the time until Klynn recovers fully. The doctors on diagnosis told that it was a severe case of malnourishment. For months she has been starving and has not eaten enough from the past months. She could have passed away had the cop did not reach in time. Klynn wanted to thank her life savior and wanted to be grateful to him forever. But who knew she won’t be able to do that…
