Since the couple already made a promise to meet their daughter after 10 years, do you think they were able to fulfill this promise? They decided to go to the mentioned location to hopefully get to interact with their long-lost daughter.

Searching High And Low

Qian and Xu made their way to the Broken Bridge on the day of the Qixi Festival which was exactly 10 years after their abandoned daughters birthday. They went to the venue bright and early, looking for anyone that could possibly resemble a young Jingzhi. The couple searched frantically to see if the baby girl they had to give up showed up to see them too.

And so what about the day that they went out to look for their beloved daughter? Well, the Qixi Festival is the Chinese equivalent of Valentine’s Day that is celebrated all over the world. This particular day is celebrated on the 7th day of the 7th month of every year. So in a way, it would indeed be quite special if the parents could meet their baby on this day.

Ken and Ruth went on to make sure that Kati’s life was not complicated by her own past. They continued to keep the secret of how she got adopted to themselves. But as it was clearly written on the note that was kept with her when she was abandoned, they remembered that Qixi festival indeed falls after 10 years of Kati’s birth.

Still Hesitant

However, the Poehlers did not want to build a relationship with the birth parents, but at the same time wanted to inform her parents that she was alive and well.
