Police officer Justin Scherlen passed away during his vacation with the family in New Mexico. He was the father of four children and Jackson who was the youngest was about to start his new life with his first day at school and Amarillo Police Department made sure that he remembers it all his life.
No Tickets, But Ice-Cream
To improve the relationship between the police and the people, the police department didn’t issue tickets for the traffic rule violations instead they distributed the ice-cream cones. “That’s one of the great things with police work — you get to meet people like that on a daily basis, and it makes the job worth it,” Officer Brian Warner told the local news channel WSET.
