Captain Carl Moore living in Florida is a shrimp fisherman by profession. He has been in this business for a very long time. The experience has taught him a lot. Moore’s acumen is well known among the ilk but it was in 2012 that he caught the worldwide fame. Moore during his daily expedition trapped something unbelievable in his net. That “never seen or heard about” creature did terrify him but despite that, he decided to get that thing on board. And when he exposed the thing to the world leading to an unsettling ripple.
An Ocean Full of Secrets
Moore is in love with the sea. Sailing on the surface of the deep blue sea and getting caressed by wind includes in his favorite hobbies. That is the reason why he took up the job of a fisherman and we have to agree he made a very right decision. The 63-year-old man was in this job for decades but every morning whenever he set off towards the sea it would always feel like the first day. He never got bored with his job.
Along with the pearls, seas has many more secrets hidden inside it. In fact, no place on earth is as mysterious as the deep seas are. Moore was aware of the fact and that is why every day he would head towards the sea in hope of witnessing something amazing. But every day turned out to be a normal day with no ordinary incident. However, the day in question was different. It was so different that it caught the world’s attention.
Making It Again
The fall had arrived in the Key West of Florida. Captain Carl Moore was all set to make his another sail on the sea in search of shrimps. Moore liked this season the most as the heat of sun remains in a perfect amount to keep him warm while journeying above the sea. What he liked, even more, was the reflection of the blazing sun onto the sea that looked extremely beautiful. But little did he know that the sea which looked scenic from the above was hiding an unimaginable secret beneath.
Key West is a beautiful island and so is a tourist attraction located on Florida’s straits. Along with its scenic beauty, the island is also famous for being the home of famous author Ernest Hemingway. As the Nobel Prize winner had fallen completely for its charm, the author of The Old Man And The Sea chose this island to spend the rest of his life on. Key West has many unusual stories attached to it and this one was only going to add to that.
Off To Sea
The day was April 19, 2014, Captain Carl Moore was off to sea with his crew. The crew had planned to work little harder this time as they were willing to catch more shrimps than the regular amount. For that, they decided to explore the sea a little more by going further than the usual distance. In weekends the sale of shrimps usually goes up. And as it was Saturday, the team decided to collect as many shrimps as they could.
Net, Set, Go
As usual, they dropped their net into the sea and waited for a while but surprisingly not many shrimps got trapped. They tried again but this time also the result was the same. The team was all surprised as it was happening for the first time with them. The whole of the crew was well versed in the job as they had been working for a very long time. However, never in their life did they collect so less number. Was there something wrong with the net?
