Here Is The Value

statue 24Mason explained, “I would feel pretty confident that one could get between $120,000 and $180,000 for it.”It was counted as the auction value. “Now, the value I gave you is an auction estimate value, but an insurance figure on this would be somewhere between $150,000 and $250,000, probably toward the high end. I would probably say around $250,000 for insurance purposes,” he added.

Finally!

statue 22Mason knew the importance of the statue and so he was well aware of the amount of money it was worth of. He concluded it to be the enormous amount of $250,000. Canale explained the scenario. He reminisced “I told the lion’s owner that its value might be a bit more than expected: around $250,000.” He added “But the lion’s owner took it in stride. She was as cool as a cucumber, even if she was as astonished by the value as Mason was by the lion itself.”

Back To The Past

Larry Canale and Mason again ran into each other after two years of the incident. Larry asked Mason during the conversation if he knew where that statue is now and too much of his surprise Mason told Larry that the statue is still with the lady.

Changed Mind
