ShreyaThey Were Really Heavy
Even though they were cubs, they were bear cubs. So obviously they were heavy, the fishermen underestimated their weight. In the video, they could be heard talking to each other about it. The first fisherman said- “It’s heavy! The net is rotating.” The second one who was trying to hold the cub replied, “It’s damned heavy, yes!” Now the question was, how to help them.
Caught In The Act
Seeing the bear struggle so much wrenched the hearts of these men. It was right then that one of them had a brilliant idea! They threw the fishing net they had, in the river and tried to catch the bear in it and scoop it up. However, it was not an easy task as even though the cub wanted to be helped, it was still terrified of human company.
Into The Lap of Safety
The first cub with the help of the net finally managed to get on board to safety in the boat. But the second cub, still shivering was waiting for its turn. It had barely had any life left in its body but the fisherman tried to rescue it too. It had circled around the boat and was at the back.
The Other Cub
After applying and succeeding with the fishing net idea with the first one the men did not waste a second in rescuing the other cub. It too was lifted out of the cursed lake and was totally beaten up because of his ordeals in the water. Though that was not the end of fishermen’s responsibilities.
Shivering With Fear
The video which the fishermen recorded clearly show that the wild bears were scared to death and were shivering with cold and fright. Humans were their only source of help and they had no option but to trust them. It was heartbreaking to see them struggle so much.
Not The End
The tourists were smart enough to realize that keeping the cubs with them for long was not a good idea because after all, they were the children of the wild. And it was neither smart nor fair to take them away from their natural habitat.
