SakshiEverything Changed
With the change in location, Shannon’s position had also changed. She was promoted to the rank of Inspector-Instructor duty, commonly known as I&I. Now, she had been given the leadership role that meant she would have to take care of the interest of her squad and country both. She enjoyed the position a lot.
The Colleagues
It was not that, only she was happy about the new developments but also those who were going to work under her leadership. She was very famous for her knowledge and abilities in her department and that earned her lots of respect. It was good to see that a woman was being admired for her work abilities and not only for her pretty looks. If she continued excelling this way, people assumed that she would rise up to the rank of Sergeant by the time she leaves marines.
Perks Of Being In Marine
Shannon evolved in multifaceted ways during her stint in the marines. She became more confident, more responsible and many more things. Shannon found the second family in marines. Though they were there to serve their duty but being together for such a long time had consolidated their bond.
Getting United
One of the many lessons that the marines taught Shannon was that the people who share the same passion and interest always make good friends. And here, all of them had the same ambition and determination to serve their country. With the passage of time their bond deepened and the working group metamorphosed into a family. Shannon loved her this family too.
Years Of Pride
Shannon’s heart fills with pride whenever she talks about her tenure in Marines. Nothing could be more dignifying then serving your country. She also explained that one question that comes in everyone’s mind never occurred to her owing to her profession. She said “Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference in the world. But, the Marines don’t have that problem.”
Change In Perception
A soldier by heart, Shannon got her thoughts changed after going into the Marines. Whereas initially, she took up this particular profession for a change but now the same profession had become an integral part of her existence. She rejoices ”I became part of something that was bigger than myself and I loved it.”
