A group of teenager who had been called out for their clothes had written a note and posted it around their school. The message was clear and simple. It showed just how they were feeling at that exact moment “As the summer months approach please remember….Girls wear shorts in order to stay cool when hot, not for you. We are 17 years old, stop sexualizing our bodies. If my shorts make you uncomfortable YOU are the problem.”
Time For Graduation
Thankfully for Demetra, she could now leave behind those stressful days. She was now about to head out on a new world. She recently had her graduation from middle school. It was indeed a special occasion for her because she was able to join her school friends, wearing a dress she wanted to celebrate their achievements. Holding her diploma, “Middle school? We don’t know her,” she posted on Instagram.
Live To Fight Another Day
Since there were no changes made, it must have been frustrating especially for Tony who gave a lot of effort and time. However, it seems as though Demetra’s father is still ready to talk with the school authorities if a case like his daughter’s ever took place again. He still stuck to his beliefs and had stated that he believes that kids should be allowed to wear rompers and shorts to school. “They’re just kids,” he defended them.
The Simple Things
Demetra is just another ordinary girl who is trying to find her reason for being in this world. She is a lover of the beach and her favorite things to do is to go and spend time with the Pacific tides. Since she is just a simple girl, it must have been confusing and embarrassing to have been placed on the spot for what she was wearing. Even though the middle school was a drag, her life is finally turning out to offer better things for her.
