Look Up!
The researchers were blown away by one thing that they found inside the cave. What was it? Well, this group of scientists saw clouds on the interiors of the cave! There were portions of the ceiling that were extremely weak too. These collapsed in due time as well. All these findings were so new and unexpected that the researchers were all amazed that such a thing could happen inside a cave of all places.
There’s A What?
Since there were clouds and so many weak ceilings, there were huge skylights being created. This definitely added to an eerie scenery if you go inside the cave. And there was one other thing, in fact, the best thing about this cave. Well, on the insides of the cave, there was a jungle! This cave had a jungle inside which amazed the scientists who visited the incredible site.
The First Expedition
If Khanh had not led these researchers to the mysterious cave, there would not have been a possibility that the world would know about it. The largest cave in the world would have only been a secret. There was no chance that these incredible photos would have ever been clicked if it was not for that expedition back in April 2009 that allowed the scientist to learn so much.
Great Wall Of Vietnam
Then, there was yet another reason why this group had to go back to the cave. Four days following the beginning of their adventure, these researchers met with a 200-meter high calcite wall. They had even given a name to this calling it the “Great Wall of Vietnam.” They knew they had to find their way back to the cave because they were too curious.
To The Cave Once Again
And since the cave was so huge, it was not possible to uncover everything it was about in just one go. It was far too vast to be completely explored in just one take. Also, there was a need for the British team to return to the site. They had to go back and reevaluate the cave many times. And every time they went back, they would find numerous issues.
Stunning The World
It has already been stated that getting to the cave was something majorly challenging. It took a lot of effort and planning to get to the mysterious cave. And even though it was a difficult task, it was always worth it each time. Why? you ask. Well, the scientist got to discover so much that the world was unaware of. They went on to discover something that left the whole world stunned!
