Along with being an avid speaker in matters related to the transgender community, she is also the first transgender model to sign a deal with IMG. From then on she never looked back and went on to walk in the New York Fashion Week.

Currently, a very famous Dutch model, Valentijn De Hingh started her career by working in a television show when she was aged just 8. She worked in it till she turned 17, and it was then she decided to undergo reassignment surgery. A documentary was also made which described the struggles she faced and the reasons which led her to make the decision of changing her gender.
