Back To Shape
Soon, the deer got normal and healthy. Now the next problem was what were they going to do with it? They had never dealt with something like this before. However, Alivia had a solution. She asked her parents if they could keep the deer as a pet but Annette and Joe knew that the best safe place for the animal would be its own home, wild. But at the same time, the animal was not in a sound condition to make it back to the wild so they decided to keep it until it gets fit and fine.
Getting Comfortable!
Surprisingly, the deer immediately got comfortable with the family and their house. It made a great bond with Alivia. Alivia used to spend a large portion of her time playing with the deer. Not only that the deer even started drinking milk with the help of a baby bottle. No matter, how much they had grown closer to the animal, they had to send it away in wild.
Sending It Back
When the deer fully recovered from the shock, the family decided to send it back to the wild. But this time, they had a doubt in their mind. Would it be able to find its mother? What if any other catastrophe breaks loose on it? This doubts made Schmelzingers rethink their decision.
Suggestions Welcomed
They decided to give it another thought and even talked to their neighbors about it. After this all, the family made up its mind to set the baby free in the wild trusting the instincts of the baby deer. They stopped their vehicle somewhere in the middle of the forest and put the baby down on the ground towards the forest.
Letting It Go
But the family stay put until the baby did not get lost in the wild. Joe unwillingly loosened his grip on the baby to make it go. At first, the baby deer too got hesitant over leaving its newfound family but soon its love for its original home took over it. The deer rushed towards the dense and lofty trees.
What Guy Says?
The story not only took over the town but also got famous all over the world. Guy Peterson said, “To even see a deer in the lake, you would never think that, you know?” He added, “A lot of my buddies are saying to me, ‘Are you going to go hunting in the woods and find a fish?’
