This puppy has won everyone’s heart. Chrissy called Xena “a great example of how so many [pit bulls] can endure such great abuse and become absolutely remarkable family dogs.” Evidently, Xena had brought several changes in Johnny.
Xena Changed Him
To his parents’ surprise, Johnny started socializing. He began to go to the markets without complaining, meeting them without any annoyance. He also started interacting with the people. Xena was transforming him completely.
Taking The Best Care Of Her
Xena had become a special friend for him. He took up all the responsibility of this dog on his own shoulder. He used to feed her, play with her and read books to her. He had never been so excited about taking responsibilities.
Superstar Of The Week
Xena’s company had influenced Johnny to a great extent. Now he even started enjoying his school. Earlier he always had “bad” and “okay” days but after her arrival in his life, he started having great days. His attitude had changed so much that he was named superstar of the week.
Raising Awareness
These two best friends came up with a YouTube video to raise awareness among people. In the clip, they spoke about the positive impact of a canine on autistic diagnosed. Johnny said in the video “we make a good team to spread the word,”
Dog Of The Year
For making several positive changes in the life of Johnny. ASPCA awarded Xena as their “Dog of the year” in 2013. Linda wouldn’t have thought in her life that her decision to help Xana would change her own life completely.
