The Chamber of Secrets

If the original plan to construct the room had been finished, it would truly make it incredibly unique. The designer planned on adding a huge panel to go with the gigantic monument shaped in a Louisiana Purchase and bronze letters commemorating the Declaration of Independence among seven other territorial achievements. In place of the letter and panel, the chamber was instead constructed.

The Project Revisited

The artist’s original dream could be accomplished after funding was received, so the panel and room were completed. But how come entry into the room is still prohibited? It makes no sense that after it has been constructed, that the room would be kept hidden from the public yet again! Something is just not right.

There Is A Vault

Thea designer’s wish was granted as the chamber ended up being a time capsule that was locked up using a padlock. Borglum’s tribute and his biography had been placed inside before it was completely locked up. This is truly a controversial thing to happen after all of the mountain’s history.

Many Conspiracy Theories

There has been many speculations and assumption that there is definitely something more than were told in the hidden chambers for it to be so secretively maintained. A titanium lock seems to be quite the dramatic approach although the documents stored may contain alien recording or social security threats.

One Of The Safest Places

There is always security that supervises Mount Rushmore as its beautiful location plus grandness attracts millions of tourists to visit. The secret room is also heavily locked with no chance of ever entering it. This high-end security system really does spark up curiosity, doesn’t it?

A Constant Maintenance

Mount Rushmore had been constructed using $989,992.32 from start to finish. But the money did not go in vain. As nature would cover it with shrubbery, vines, small plants, etc, regular upkeep of the site needs to be done that includes washing and scrubbing. This monument gets it up every two hours at night-time.
