And when Ryan asked him one last time, Cody knew he could not mess up anymore. He knew he would have to make this count. As Cody began to speak, he grew more confident than the previous time as he spoke about his pitch. He then gave a clear explanation as to why he was criticizing his yard. Mowing Lawns For?
And so after telling Ryan that he just wanted to mow his lawn, he told him why. Cody went to fetch the lawn mower that he had brought along with him too. He finally got to the point for wanting to mow the lawn to get some money from Ryan. But when he gave Ryan his reason, it left him absolutely speechless. Ryan could not believe the words coming out of Cody’s mouth.
Coming Clean
The main reason why Cody wanted to help with mowing the lawn was a total shock for Ryan Cox. The only motivation for him wanting some money was something Ryan had not unexpected. Ryan had a girlfriend. He then explained he and his girlfriend had never ever gone a proper date before. He had never taken her out for a date, so he wanted to…
For His Girl
And so all Cody wanted was to take his girlfriend out to a nice lunch. However, he did not want to ask money from his parent, he wanted to do the way it felt right for him. He could not afford to take her out for a nice meal from his own pocket, so he was asking around the neighborhood if someone would let him mow their lawns. Ryan’s response was something no one had anticipated.
Rallying The Troupes
After hearing his motivation, it touched Ryan deeply. He was so moved by Cody’s eagerness. He was impressed because Cody actually made a plan instead of taking money from his parents which would have been way easier. For a boy who was just 14 to attempt to make an honest living, Ryan was blown away by Cody. He wanted to help right away.
A Change After Ryan
And after hearing the reason for Cody going around like this, Ryan decided to join him. He went around to take Cody door to door and assisted in asking for help for the boy who inspired him so much. After Ryan jumped on board, the people in the neighborhood were convinced that this was for the right reasons and agreed right away. But after hearing Cody’s reasons, they were even more supportive.
