However, he wanted to try his luck with one more house and as Cody was walking across the lawn, Ryan Cox noticed. He was startled by the sound coming from his yard. Ryan had no clue what this was. He decided to check…
A Boy Outside
And so, after being alarmed by the strange sound coming from his lawn. Cody went to check outside. When the door opened he saw that a boy was about to knock on his door. And even though Cody had a speech prepared, the unexpected door opening made him stutter. Ryan got a little annoyed and slowly closed his door but just then, Cody begged, “Please, I really need your help.”
Ryan Is Intrigued
And after this, although Ryan tried to close the door, the first words that came out of the boy’s mouth made him stop. The tone of Cody was enough to show how desperate he was. And this piqued Ryan’s interest. Why would a boy like Cody come to him for his help of all people? But Cody was mumbling and got nervous to see that someone finally listened.
Motions Towards The Yard
And so, to cut things short, Cody had made a very messy first impression. He was fumbling over the words for his pitch. He was so evidently nervous that Ryan got curious. Since he saw that Ryan was getting a little irritated, Cody knew he had to act quick. He then motioned towards Ryan’s yard. He was trying to tell him that he was not maintaining his lawn…
In The Hot Seat
And so after Cody had the chance to speak, he had told Ryan that his yard did not look attractive, that he had not maintained it properly. And so, after hearing this, the owner started questioning whether his yard was indeed disgraceful or not. He asked Cody this question. Cody was failing to enunciate, “Sir, just let me explain.” The tension was rising…
What Was His Aim?
And after making such a negative first impression, there was something about what Cody said that caught Ryan’s attention. He had said something about needing cash. Ryan was just about to get back inside and close the door on Cody but asked what he was trying to achieve one last time. And this was when everything made sense when his whole perception change…
