Wuyuan County

This place has both ancient and natural wonders of nature that can easily make you go awe! The architecture of this place is from the Tang Dynasty that has been kept preserved for 1000 years. Zhijin Cave

This cave was discovered in 1980 by the Zhijin County Tourism Exploration Team. It is also called the Daji Cave. This cage is huge, extending 13.5 km. According to historians, this cage is believed to be the largest unsupported roof span of the cave that has been ever discovered. What makes this place amazing is the hundreds of different crystalline formations with Silver Rain Tree being the biggest of them which is 17m (56 ft) long.

Jiuzhaigou

The Jiuzhaigou lake changes the color throughout the day and year. It is not magic but simple process due to the combination of algae and calcified rocks that are found at the bottom of the lake and the reflection of the surrounding landscape. If you ever want to visit this lake make sure you visit it in the Autumn season when it takes on a rainbow of different hues.

Yuanyang Rice Terraces

The Hani people have been digging the Yuanyang Rice Terraces into the rolling landscape of the southern Ailao Mountains for many centuries which makes this place an ancient one. Covering around 12,500 hectares and the height that reaches up to 6500 feet above sea level. Depending on the season, the terraces can either be green or filled with water which reflects the colors and shape of the clouds. The Hani people who live here and farm their lands still follow their ancestors’ traditions.
