A Treasure Trove
Luckily, scientists’ certainty about the link between these cave channels proved right. They found the connection they were looking for from a long time between two of the caves now. The third cave is still not connected with the rest but as per the scientists, it soon will be. However, the later findings in this cave channel are of more significance as they are taking us back in time by their immense information that they hide inside.
14 Years Of Hard Work
The Director of Exploration for the Gran Acuifero Maya team, Robert Schmittner was overwhelmed by the discovery of the links because it is not just a matter of work but the investment of his life’s 14 years. Yes, for more than a decade Mr. Schmittner has been working on this project and when it finally gave him the results he was just so happy as he knows that this discovery not only means a lot to him but for the world too.

Schmittner shared the update discovery with National Geographic in January 2018. The team is able to record around 200 different sites that are said to be significant and are as old as 15,000 years from now. This discovery is much more than everyone was expecting it to be.
