The Graves
Brandi threw light on this dark event which nearly destroyed the entire world. Were they graves? But they were intentionally put there, to be hidden and forgotten. Brandi noticed that the entire seabed was veiled by massive junks of metal. Flat plates, broken glasses, tubes of different cylindrical sizes were spread as far as eyes could behold. It was only when she drew closer she realized what were these graves.
Not A Single Body
No, it was not a grave of a human body, over 70 years they would have decayed. In this wreck of hundreds of feet, there was not a single human casualty. It proves that what happened was not an accident but a plan. A well-executed plan which was not supposed to be discovered. But Brandi’s love for exploration brought her face to face with this underground nightmare.
Airplane Thrown In Water?
What she was looking at was a rotten body on an airplane. But what was a plane doing in the water? Did it crash there? But the body was not broken at all, it was as if it was thrown intentionally, with its entire body intact. But Brandi just could not figure out why. This single airplane was not just the only questionable thing she found on that seabed. The video in the upcoming slides in shocking!
Dumping Ground
As Brandi moved on, she discovered it was not just one plane in the water but many of them. The sea became a dumping ground of about 150 different airplanes. Most of them had their bodies completely intact and just a few of them had their tail or a wing was broken. Two things were certain- it was not a crash but a strategic plan to have discarded the planes and that the fighter planes were from WWII which was clear from their models. But how did they come there?
Brandi’s Reaction
Brandi in an interview threw some light on the event, she told- “They call it the “Airplane Graveyard” – they aren’t war graves or planes that crashed. They were planes that were taken out over the reef and pushed off intact after the war ended. For me, diving on airplanes, especially World War Two airplanes is really unique. Diving on shipwrecks seems normal, you expect ships to have sunk.”
They Should Have Flown
She further added that “seeing planes underwater is strange, planes don’t belong in the water, they belong in the sky, so it feels weird to dive on them. But amazing and special too. And because these planes didn’t sink because of the war they are special. They should have flown more, lived longer, but they were sunk in perfect condition.” But WHY?
