Night Terrors
It was almost impossible for him to find a shelter every night. On top of it, he had to cover himself to keep warm and keep himself hidden from wild animals. During one night a nest of ants attacked him leaving his body bleeding, somehow, he managed to survive that long night. But this wasn’t all for him.
Life Or Death
On the sixth night, Yossi was trying to get his much-needed sleep, the same time he heard a noise from the foliage. He saw two glowing eyes staring at him, close to killing him. He knew the jungle is filled with Jaguars and he was scared to death as he knew he can’t fight one barehanded. Somehow, he managed to stay calm and the night passed and the day came with a new trouble.
Rain Of Fear
The forest was being harsh on Yossi and he was realizing that he might have to pay for his adventurous soul by ending his life. The second week came with rain and the weather conditions were now extreme. The heavy rain resulted in a ‘floody’ situation, trying to make way to the higher land, he nearly died.
Hallucinations
He started getting hallucinations of a former lover, who appeared and asked him to keep going further no matter how impossible it looks. At times he was hopeless and ended up praying for mercy from the Almighty. It was when he was praying from God to let him rest in peace by ending his life he heard a sound. He knew it was just another hallucination or maybe not.
Engine!
After 3 weeks, it was the sound of an engine in that dense forest. With mere hopes, he ran towards the riverside to look if it was all happening in reality. He saw his friend Kevin with other villagers who were looking for him around the woods. Yossi was in a dreadful condition that it took over three months for him to recover completely as he stayed in the hospital for that long.
Fleeting Faith
The book gave him hopes and made him survive those 3 weeks all by himself along with his military training. However, he kept himself alive and said its completely by the grace of God that he survived. He lost 35 pounds within 3 weeks, however, Marcus and Karl weren’t as lucky as Kevin and Yossi.
