Hitchhiking
He made it a long way with the concept of hitchhiking, ie, in a way, the cheapest means of travel. Yossi was introduced to this concept by his Bedouin friend, from Venezuela to Colombia, he made full use of it. On his way to Columbia, he met a guy named Marcus Stamm, a teacher by profession, who specially came from Switzerland to South America to explore the Amazon rainforest just like Yossi.
Friends And More
Marcus and Yossi became quick friends and were now together ready for their expedition. They reached La Paz, Bolivia which was closest to the rainforest. Till now there wasn’t anything suspicious for the newly formed duo of the two young men but now there was an entry of a mysterious person who was going to play a life-changing role in their journey.
Fateful Encounter
Yossi and his new friend Marcus met an Austrian man named Karl Ruprechter who told them that he is a geologist and shared his plans of an expedition for gold in an ancient village, right in the center of Bolivia’s aged jungle. It was something more than the two were looking forward too as they could now see possibilities of rewarding themselves with gold if the expedition turns out to be a success. Were they ready to join this stranger they just met?
Resourceful Globetrotter
Yossi and Marcus excitedly said yes to join Karl, the geologist, as they might need his expertise in the jungle. One last person was yet to be added to their group, his name was Kevin Gale, an American photographer whom they met after Karl. So it was four of them ready to dive into the darkest of forests.
Warnings
The four of them reached to the remote town named Rurrenabaque where the natives warned them about the possible dangers they’ll face with every step they’ll take inside the jungle. However, this group of young men was already aware of it but being the natives of that area they knew the jungle much more than anyone else, yet their response was to make them aware about what lies ahead.
Embarking On Adventure
The four new acquaintances within a few days they were getting closest to the forest. As Karl, the geologist was holding the command the rest three were taking a breath of relief as Karl accompanying them could save their lives from the dangers of the jungle. They traveled by plane and then by boat to reach their target.
