Amazon; The Wildest
Amazon can be most fascinating but equally dangerous at the same time. The wild forest is known for its density when we talk about trees and deadly species existing in the thickest rainforest. Amazon is filled with uncertainties at each step including Electric Eels, flesh-eating Piranhas, poison dart Frogs, Jaguars, Green Anaconda, Bullet Ant, Brazilian Wandering Spider, and severely venomous Snakes and much more. The place is so dense that it takes more than 10 minutes for the rain to reach the ground. One should forget about sunlight as only 1% of rays reach the ground. One simple question here, why would anyone want to visit such a place? The answer will surely amuse you!
One And Only
Amazon forest is the only rainforest outlasting the rest as it covers 50% of the world’s rainforests. Adventure isn’t the only reason for humans to head towards this place. Yes, its located on the Earth but far from our city lives, Amazon nurtures the highest number species of plants and animals in its ecosystem. One can never encounter this richness of nature anywhere else, with the largest growing tree “the Kapok tree” that has the potential to grow higher than 200ft. More than 80% of the fruits types humans consume are produced in here such as avocados, coconuts, oranges, lemons, grapefruits, pineapples, and mangoes. Amazon is a dreamland for explorers just like Mt. Everest is to mountaineers.
A Risk To Be Taken
When Yossi came back from his shift, three years after he joined the navy, he was ready to quit his stable navy job in order to pursue his dream. So far this was the biggest risk of his life, little did he know, his future is waiting with more risky situations for him. Before Yossi could start his journey to the Amazon he had to fix a greater issue.
Work Work Work
Travel costs money and Yossi was now saving as much as he can from different jobs. And therefore, for the following years, he worked at multiple locations such as construction work in Norway, fishing in Alaska, and loading and unloading trucks in New York City just to save enough to afford to travel to South America. Though he was traveling as much as he can, he reached Africa, Mexico but he wasn’t dropping jobs anyway.
Finally Made It
After a couple of years wait, Yossi was finally in South America which meant he was close to both of his dreams: First, to meet his hero and second, to explore the Amazon. This wait wasn’t too long compared to his excitement. Unfortunately, one of his dreams could never be completed and second was too harsh to come true. However, giving up was never Yossi’s style.
Disappointed
Although Yossi worked day and night for it and tried to reach Latin America as soon as possible, he wasn’t able to make it on time. By the day he reached his role model, Henry, the author was gone forever. He died due to old age but Yossi never got to meet him but this wasn’t it for him, he was still determined to travel through the Amazon on the ideology of the Bedouin guy whom he met and got aspired by.
