Taking Precautions
The couple was feeling quite nervous because they were afraid it would be bad news. But when their doctor was questioned as to why Angie would need to see a doctor, he had a simple response. “Unfortunately, at 26 and a half weeks, all of a sudden there was a fluid discrepancy,” he explained to interviewers later when asked about why he referred her to a specialist.
Belongs To The Hospital
Since a pregnant woman must be handled with utmost care and protection, the doctor did not want to risk her health. He even added that he had said to her, “So that was time to say, ‘Angie, we belong in the hospital now.’” The couple did not hesitate to follow the doctor’s orders and so they went to the hospital to make sure their baby and Angie were safe.
Around-The-Clock Care
The doctors told the couple that the main reason why Angie needed the extra attention was due to the fact that her pregnancy was high-risk. This means that she could have complications that could affect not just her health but even her baby’s health. The doctors told her that and she was going to need around-the-clock care to make sure she was fine.
Not Just A Baby
If you are getting confused as to why the doctors are making such a fuss about Angie’s pregnancy now, there is a perfectly good explanation. The reason behind this is that she wasn’t expecting one baby; she was expecting three babies. Just imagine having to carry 3 babies in her womb at once. It was right for them to want to make sure everything was going fine.
3 Babies On The Way
It was quite the unique pregnancy for Angie. But as you would have already expected Angie and Gino after finding out that they were expecting triplets, could not be happier. Since they wanted to have more kids, they were not saddened by the fact that now they would have 3 more on their hands. 2 babies in her womb were actually sharing a placenta.
Matter Of Size
The fact that 2 babies were sharing a placenta was a not necessarily a huge problem but it did have its drawbacks on the babies. This was going to hamper the size of one of the babies and it wouldn’t grow as big as the other two babies in her belly. There were so many other possible complications that were listed and this problem was nothing.
