Getting Over

Jerry and Janice are still not over that incident. As the law has been lenient in sentencing her, they still fear that she would try to harm their family again. Their house is a few miles away from the house of Kathy Rowe. “Kathy is dangerous,” Jerry said. “There is no question she was out to physically assault someone in my family.”

No Sympathy

They have no sympathy for the old woman either. Jerry said, “The purchase of a home, taking care of a toddler and a newborn, it was during this time while we were at our most vulnerable state that Mrs. Rowe began her pattern of attacks,”

Safe Haven

Jerry shared his pain, ‘The home should be a place of safety and sanctuary,’ Ruhter said. ‘But I never truly felt this way in our house. I felt most secure away from my home. The house became my prison.’

Russian Roulette

Jerry had a lot to say about her. He said, “She was kind of playing Russian roulette with my family, you know,” “There’s no question in my mind she’d get the right person at the right moment to come to the house, and things would’ve happened.”

Thanks To Law

‘Had law enforcement not intervened in this case, I am certain Mrs. Rowe would have continued her attacks until she successfully brought physical harm to a member of my family,’ concluded Jerry. She even tried to get Janice raped that makes this case even more disgusting.

Stopped It

However, Kathy’s attorney, Brad Patton has something else to say about her. He said, “She stopped it on her own when some of the pressures had alleviated.”  “You look at the woman’s life, and there is nothing that remotely suggests her doing anything like this. She has been an outstanding mother, wife and community member. It was totally out of her character,” he added further.
