Otzi had a high risk of cardiovascular disease and lactose intolerance. He even suffered from Lyme disease. And this made him the oldest mummy to be discovered with an infectious bacterial disease. A new test was conducted in 2001 that became the last piece of the puzzle. What previously slipped out of all the tests was now revealed with the help of advanced technology. It was an arrowhead that struck him on his left shoulder!
All the previous assumptions were deemed to be wrong as neither did he die of illness nor because of the weather. Otzi, the Iceman died of an arrowhead, to be more precise, he was murdered!
