In Trouble
Aubrey was not able to handle all the changes this sudden shift had brought. It was too much for him to handle. And what happened next was something critical at this age. He got into a bad company and even landed in a mess. The situation had police involvement and this was not the last time this happened.
Nowhere
On the morning of May 24, 2016, Michael dropped Aubrey to school. Little did he know that it was the last time he was dropping him there. In the noon, Aubrey’s stepmother went to school to pick him up, but she was stunned to not find Aubrey at the bus stop. Where was he?
Can’t Find Him
She waited for him at the bus stop but he didn’t turn up. She went inside the school and started looking for him, even there she couldn’t locate him. Moreover, one of his classmates told her that he had submitted all his due assignments as well. If he had been to school that day, where did he suddenly vanish? She panicked and called his father.
Frightened Father
When Michael heard the news of Aubrey missing, his heart skipped a beat. He was worried and stressed. Where could Aubrey disappear suddenly? He called a few of his friends and neither of them knew where he was. Michael immediately drove to Aubrey’s school and even contacted the police on his way. However, he did not inform Aubrey’s mother i.e his first wife, Danielle about it. Why?
Looking For Him
Michael and police officers arrived at the scene. Everyone was looking for Aubrey, in and around the school. The young boy was nowhere to be found. Michael thought that Aubrey is a teen and was responsible enough and might return home by night and thus did not inform Danielle. But their son didn’t turn up.
Weeks Passed By
Days turned into weeks and Aubrey never returned home. The situation turned murkier day by day. Even the police officers were not able to find any clues about Aubrey. Finally, Michael informed Danielle about their missing son. The mother on the other side of the call was broken, her world shattered and she couldn’t stop crying out of helplessness.
