Campaign ManagerOfficer Stepped In
It was in December of 2017, Myers met a local police officer around a freeway in Hayward, California. However, he was not seeing the officer for the first time. He had run into him multiple times at the same place. Deputy Sheriff Jacob Swalwell of Alameda County used to patrol in the area and Myers would beg there.
This Time
So, how was that meeting special? Myers used to play guitar and beg on the junction whereas the sheriff would patrol the area around the intersection. Both used to visit the area daily. Smallwell would whisk him away by telling him not to beg on the highly engaged area beside the freeway. The two knew each other but had never talked.
Little Talks
All that 33-year-old sheriff knew about him was that the old and frail man was a beggar. Though he never got into a conversation with him, he would often warn him not to roam around the area. He had been seeing him begging since the day he stepped the foot in the area. The man was also known to the fact that Myers used to beg by Foothill Boulevard.
