In Egypt, the archeologists keep finding something or the other as if there is no stop. This city has an abundance of such ancient artifacts that shock everybody around. Recently, researchers have found a site or you could say a network of tombs below the city of Cairo that is believed to be some 2,000 years old. It will take researchers some 5 years to completely examine the whole site.

This discovery has opened some other gates for the archeologists who can now indulge in other activities where they can find something more extraordinary than this. Though this discovery turned out to be different than what they were expecting, still, it was great.

Cemetery Of Thoth
Few miles away from the city of Minya located in the Nile Valley, archeologist unearthed a large necropolis. This city is known for its burial sites that are spread everywhere around the area. But the amazing part is that they don’t contain civilians or pharaohs, instead, they contained priestly families.
Inside Luxor’s Private Tombs
The city of Luxor is well-known for its historic architecture and tombs. Alongside the river Nile, the archeologist explored the area in 2017 and found 3,500-years-old cemetery believed to be designed for elite Egyptians. It wasn’t the tombs that interested the researchers but the monument that was built around the tombs.
Face Of Aspelta
Archeologists discovered a 2,600-year-old statue of the King Aspelta (r. 593–568 BC) who was praised as the “king of Upper and Lower Egypt” and the worshiper of the Sun god Re. This statue was a life-size and was built after the temple of the Egyptian god Amun. The remains found near the temple were elite but who they were exactly nobody could tell it for sure.
