Inside The Tomb
The researchers believed that the person inside the tomb must have been of grave importance because of the material that was used in the making of the tomb. The city of Alexandria was founded by Alexander the great and the possibility of the tomb connected to him was not thrown out of the mind. What if the tomb was of Alexander? The answer was inside the tomb and it was time they opened it.
The Answers Inside
The huge machinery was called in and with the help of cranes and thick rope, the crew managed to open the lid of the tomb. There was a huge risk involved in the whole process and the researchers were afraid of dropping the heavy lid in mid-air that could destroy the whole tomb and the people around it. With the help of the crane, they lift up the lid of the coffin.
The Unusual Smell
With a flow of dust that came out after they slid the sarcophagus, followed by several wretched minutes, the scent was all over the place that was coming out of the tomb. The mystery was still lying in the tomb. Three human skeletons strangled together dipped inside a thick red liquid made the atmosphere really scary. The researchers were expecting one skeleton but now they had three.
Story Of Three
Not one or two but there were three skeletons inside the tomb that made the researchers really confused about everything. The skeletons were believed to be of soldiers, and the red liquid was actually raw sewage that entered into the sarcophagus which with time started smelling really bad. But there was this man who believed that after drinking the liquid people would gain powers.
Power Game
Innes McKendrick who was very much influenced by the discovery that he started a petition to turn the red liquid into a carbonated energy drink for the general public. He insisted that this liquid would give the humans “powers.” Thanks to smart officials who didn’t admit the petition even after there were enough signatures to pass the petition.
Amazing It Was
After this discovery which they thought would bring some amazing result in the history of Egypt, the researchers were left blank when they didn’t find any exceptional skeleton but three skeletons believed to be of some soldiers. Whatever the case was still they discovered something that would force them to excavate other areas of Alexandria.
