The sarcophagus’s lid was really heavy as it required almost half a dozen men power to shift it a little. Later, they realized that with mere men power it won’t be possible to remove it and they were going to need some large equipment. The crew then called an expert on the situation who knew what should be done next.
Calling The Expert
The expert was Ayman Ashmawy, who has worked with Egypt’s Ministry of Antiquities for many years. He had the experience and how to deal with a situation exactly like these. He was a perfect choice and the man who knew how to do the job without fail. Though this discovery was nothing like others but still he was ready to take the job and it was him who shed a light on the information about the tomb that shook the world.
Expert On The Site
When Ashmawy arrived at the scene, he was amazed by the size of the tomb which was really huge compared to other tombs he has seen. He knew that this tomb was something special because he noticed that there was a layer of mortar between the lid and the body, which meant that this tomb was perfectly sealed for over 2,000 years. He was even more surprised when he took a closer look at the material of the lid, which was black granite that was very uncommon at that time. This material provoked a very serious question in everybody’s mind.
The Real Question
After taking note of the material with which the tomb was made which was black granite, the expert knew from the beginning that this discovery would change his life forever. The type of material which was used in the tomb suggested that the person for whom this tomb was built must have been of very high status, or, perhaps, someone well-known. But who? They found out very soon.
Tight Security
After the news was out that the archeologists have found a tomb made up of unusual material that could be related to someone infamous, the locals started gathering around the excavation site to have a single look at the discovery. The officials tightened the security because the site was now officially of grave importance which was now prone to destruction and loot.

As we told you how locals believed in the legend of the Pharaoh’s curse and because of the many researchers within the team had their doubts about the whole operation. The curse of the pharaohs is a claimed curse that says that anyone who disturbs the mummy, especially a pharaoh, the curse would be cast upon him. After the discovery of the Tomb of Tutankhamun, the legend about the curse took another turn. Soon, the lid was off and the world was ready to get shocked.
