Combine 1 cup of cooking oil from a bottle with 1 tablespoon of dish soap and blend every pint of water with 4 teaspoons of oil. Then spray it on your plants which will protect them from spider mites, aphids, and other pests.
Ensure Quality
Before planting your seeds, you should ensure its quality! You should always plant fresh seeds which grow into a healthy plant. This trick will provide you with a test to check whether seeds can be planted or not. You can also check your older seeds with it. Drop your seeds in a glass of water and if seed sinks to the bottom it’s good and if it is floating, it is of no use.
The foremost step while gardening should be to check the quality of the soil. Again the trick is natural using two household items. To check whether the soil is acidic, make a solution with 1/2 cup of baking soda, 1/2 cup of water and then add 1/2 cup of your soil. If soil fizzes it means it is acidic. It can be good for acid-loving plants. To check the alkaline nature of the soil, test 1/2 cup of soil with 1/2 cup of vinegar. If bubbles are formed, the soil is alkaline in nature and if the soil is neutral it would not react to any solution.
