Bubble Boy
Since Michael Phelps entered the Olympic circuit, people across the globe have been fascinated with competitive swimming. Here we see one of Phelps’ competitors swimming. However, he almost looks sub-human as the water encapsulated his head. This picture had to be taken at such a precise moment; it is hard to believe it was actually captured.
Statue Scores
Playing a pick-up game of basketball is always a good time. Unfortunately, sometimes you can’t always find enough players. Luckily, whoever was playing on this court had an unexpected player to choose from – the bronze statue. Clearly, this photo is proof that the statue can play and can score baskets. (Obviously, a joke, we do not believe statues can come to life.)
Perfectly Parallel
Although Dennis Rodman has been known for some questionable behavior since leaving the NBA, one can’t deny that he was quite the talented player. This picture certainly proves that. Rodman was diving for a loose ball during a game in 1997 when the photo was snapped. If this photo doesn’t show pure athleticism than I don’t know what does.
Horsin’ Around
Julien Leparoux is an expert jockey. Unfortunately, even the experts are not immune to disaster. In April 2006, Leparoux was riding Sanibel Storm, when the horse ran into a rail during the stretch run. Leparoux was catapulted off the horse. Luckily, neither the rider nor the horse was injured.
Now That’s Flexible
There are some photos that not only impress the viewer but also can almost be painful to look at. That’s the case with this one. This figure skater is not concerned whatsoever with the extreme angle of her standing split, but most average people would find it painful to even think about trying this. Still, there’s something satisfying about how her legs are joining to form a perfectly straight vertical line.
