Scared Of Heartbreaks!
If you have seen the 007 films you might have realized that James Bond is a stoic, sex-crazed super spy. He follows his mind rather than his heart but Craig added a depth to the character. He played a Bond who is less involved with other girls then his predecessors due to the heartbreak he had because of Vesper Lynd in Casino Royale. He also is a heavy drinker, unlike the former ones.
Not A Fan Of James Bond!
Though Daniel Craig has pulled the character beautifully he has no intention to play this character again. By the time Spectre hit the theatre he was tired of playing the role. While giving an interview to the Time Out Magazine he said that he will “slash [his] wrists” then reappearing in the movie. He said “I don’t know what the next step is. I’ve no idea. Not because I’m trying to be cagey. Who the fuck knows? At the moment, we’ve done it. I’m not in discussion with anybody about anything. If I did another Bond movie, it would only be for the money.”
$100 Million Is Not Enough!
Daniel Craig has lost interest in playing the world’s most swaggy spy and he has been very open about this. The only force that made him do the series is the money. Mashable revealed that the actor was offered a huge amount of $100 million to feature in two more movies that but he turned it down. Craig did not want to continue with the movie because of the knee injury he sustained after shooting for Spectre. But despite his disinterest, he took up the role and what made him do that is below.
No Becomes Yes!
After making a remark so strong as slitting his wrists but not doing another franchise, he will be reappearing in his fifth movie. He made the announcement in August 2017 at The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. He said that it was stupid of him to say no so strongly to the movie. He told the host “Instead of saying something with style and grace, I said something really stupid, I think this is it. I just want to go out on a high note. I can’t wait.”
Hate At First Sight
During the shooting of Skyfall actor Daniel Craig and director Sam Mendes were not on good terms. They “butted heads a lot” during their first flick. However, they became friendly by the time they started working on Spectre. Surprisingly, Craig begged Mendes to return to film Spectre when he decided to quit the series. In an interview with Time Out New York Craig maintained “I was begging him. Begging him.” He continued “They offered [Mendes] loads of money, of course, but I was also begging him to do [Spectre].”
Shortest Bond
Unlike his predecessors, Daniel Craig is the shortest James Bond of the 007 series. He is 5’10” tall whereas other bonds like Sean Connery who portrayed the spy in first five films and Pierce Brosnan who played it from 1995 to 2002 are about 6’2″ tall.
