Eleven Adoptive Parents Later…
He had a total of eleven adoptive parents – with everyone returning him to the shelter – before they realized Gumby’s rightful place of belonging. So it was decided that Gumby would be a permanent resident at the shelter!
Gumby The ‘Empath’
According to the shelter’s behavior team leader, Donya Satriale, Gumby is an ’empath’. This means he has a skill that allows him to comfort new dogs coming into the shelter.
